  It seems that the portals are broken - new ones appear on top of the nether... Haven't heard anything like that happening elsewhere - did the bugfix update break something, anyone have some insight into this?

  FYI, I was going through the changelog for the new beta version of bukkit that we're on, and it seems like this bug should be fixed now.
